Nowhere to Go
Sight gains, mind strays.
Nowhere to Go The obvious truth is That all high-quality creation Can only be accomplished By being fully present in the moment. However, when the mind is in the present, It struggles to remain still. The voice of the ego Generates anxiety: “Will this attract others’ attention?” “How will others judge me?” “What benefits will this bring?” “What’s next? The next paragraph, The next chapter, The next step, The next task, Tomorrow’s concerns? … ” Without abiding in the present, One cannot find peace. Even if something is accomplished, Temporarily satisfying the ego’s desires, The underlying restlessness remains, Shaking the foundation And causing unease. Thus, the mind continues to scheme: “What must I do To prove my existence?”

A quietly profound reflection on the tension between presence and ego. Arwen Candra’s words echo the heart of Buddhist thought, reminding us that true peace isn’t found in achievement or validation, but in the stillness of simply being. Thoughtful, meditative, and gently unsettling in the best way.
I like this, the energy of existence is in the present moment. The ego creates chaos and monkey mind. But, the ego is part of our thought process. Is is a battles with self?
